Meebo Messenger is a free Google Chrome extension that provides you access to Meebo chat and networks. Using Meebo Messenger you can get connected to your friends and family from around the world. Thanks to Meebo developer and Google Chrome that make it possible to run this nice messenger on both Windows and Linux. In this short tutorial, I will show you how to install Meebo Messenger on my Fedora 15 Linux.
The Meebo Messenger 1.3.0 includes few additional features such as Add Desktop Notifier that will notify you if there are any new incoming messages or chat.
Step 1. Make sure your have Google Chrome installed on your system. You may read my previous post on how to install Google Chrome on Fedora 15 here. Then Open Google Chrome and point to this address: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/lkonlbjgknbnkfjbihcphkhkijjalkgj?hl=en-US
Step 2. You will see a window notification open up. Click install to install Meebo Messenger extension.
Step 3. When finished, you will see Meebo icon appear on your Google Chrome.
Step 4. Open Meebo Messenger and start chatting. You can connect to your Facebook, Yahoo, Windows Lice and AIM accounts. Have a try and have a nice day.
