How to install Google Chrome on Fedora 15

Google Chrome is a popular web browser for Windows and Linux. This short tutorial will show you how to install Google Chrome on Fedora 15 using Terminal or command prompt. I know there is no point to install Chrome from command line when GUI installation methods is much easier. Personally I like Google Chrome better than Firefox since its more simple and faster in many cases.

First, download Google Chrome for Fedora 15 rpm. You can point your browser to this http://www.google.com/chrome/eula.html?hl=id&platform=linux. Make sure you select rpm 32bit (for 32bit system) and 64bit if you are running 64 bit system.

You will have a file google-chrome-stable_current_i386.rpm

Now open Terminal and use this command below to install Google Chrome package.

rpm –Uhv google-chrome-stable_current_i386.rpm

After all, you can now run Google Chrome from Applications | Internet Google Chrome.
